Worship with Rev. Sarah Napoline: “I Wonder?”
Date(s) - 05/19/2019
10:30 am - 11:30 am
The internationally renowned writer, speaker, and leadership consultant Meg Wheatley says, “Treasure curiosity more than certainty.” In a spiritual tradition that venerates and even idealizes reason and intellect, Unitarian Universalists often lean more toward certainty than curiosity. Rev. Napoline wonders what would happen if we wondered more.
About Rev. Sarah Napoline: Rev. Sarah is honored to be the first woman and the first openly queer minister called to serve First Parish Stoughton. Sarah was born and raised in Massachusetts and is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and religion from Mount Holyoke College, a Master’s of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School, and was welcomed into Fellowship as a Unitarian Universalist minister in 2014. After being ordained, Sarah completed an additional Master’s Degree in Theological Research at Andover Newton, including the completion of an academic thesis on Mary of Nazareth (i.e. the Virgin Mary or Blessed Mother), seeking to reframe her as a feminist and liberationist icon and exemplar for Unitarian Universalists.
